After very little deliberation we resolved to pull the engine and gearbox out to properly address the oil line adapter issue.

Once we had re-cleaned the engine bay and underbody of all the residual oil, we replaced the part, popped all the go bits back in and even gave the car another quick rinse before heading off for a quick test drive…
