Das ündertrayfrøntbarsplitta

Added some winglets or ‘Canards’ and secured the front bar to the undertray.

The Canards are there to try and reduce the air falling down into the wheel arches. Such air would be turbulent and high pressure and that’s our enemy especially anywhere low or below the car. If you look from the side you can see how the small amount of air that gets under the winglet will have to accelerate and expand relative to the air going over it. Ideally the difference in pressure on the winglet should itself create some downforce, but they are a component of a bigger overall system. The more expanded low pressure zones we can create outside and behind the car the better it should “pull” air from under it, which inturn drives the undertray and front splitter creating more down force. Eventually we’ll want a rear diffuser and flat bottom too, but opening the back edges of all the wheel arches will probably be next.
