Some time ago we realised we had a gearbox from a non-turbo R33, and that certainly wouldn’t be up to the task of handling the amount of torque the new engine would throw at it. So, after purchasing about eleventy billion different proper R33 Turbo Gearboxes, we found one we’re happy to swap out.
Notice the difference of the size of the box, much bigger internals, gear sets and output shaft.
There was a tonne of shavings from drain plug on the old box. Erghhh.
