Stripping the interior…

After track day 4, we decided to remove all the sound deadening in search of more weight-loss. The dry-ice was actually more expensive than we had anticipated, but it was well worth the cost – the more dry ice the easier it is to get the deadening off. We stripped the cabin and boot of all the tar and from memory this all came to around 20kgs.

We used to weigh everything that came off the car and deduct that from the stock weight, I think we stopped counting at around 100kgs or so; it’s in a spreadsheet somewhere. We are so far beyond adding up what we took off the car now, we really just need a set of scales or a weigh bridge (that’s open) to get a reading. But probably best to wait for that proverbial roll cage to go in first!
